Chapter 2092 - A Battleship Soars Through the Starry Void
Buddhist Son Lian Sheng refused without the slightest hesitation. He didn’t even pause to think.
“Even if I lose, and even if I die, I absolutely refuse to share those three legacies with an outsider.” Lian Sheng said gravely. “If you don’t believe me, you’re welcome to test me.”
Su Yi flipped his palm, and the Godhead he’d just acquired floated into the air. “What if I offered to trade you this?”
Lian Sheng’s gaze focused, but he nonetheless staunchly refused. “I won’t trade!”
Su Yi smiled. “You really do have backbone.”
He put away the Epoch Fragment, then turned to leave. “Come on, I’ll lead you out of here.”
Lian Sheng froze, a bit caught off guard. He’d assumed that Su Yi would seize this opportunity to kill him, but no such thing occurred.
“If you’re trying to make me owe you a favor, or if you think that this will change my opinion of you, you’re deeply, utterly mistaken!” Lian Sheng caught up to Su Yi and calmly made himself clear.
“Relax. Not long ago, I would have been interested in duking it out with a Heaven’s Chosen like you,” Su Yi said distractedly. “But now, even knowing that you’re Ol’ Dipankara’s closed-door disciple, I have no interest in killing you.”
Lian Sheng found this surprising. “Why?”
“Every debt has its debtor. My enemy is your master, not you,” Su Yi said casually. “I hate nothing more than when the innocent are implicated in my enmities.”
