Bethany watched Theodore walk into the kitchen, his phone in hand. She tried to keep her gaze as normal as possible, even throwing in a small smile, but the sounds she had heard earlier kept replaying in her mind, making it extremely tough to keep a normal face.
He cleared nervously his throat as he sat down. Looking anywhere but in her direction.
His actions made her understand that he knew she was aware of what went down.
Not seeing any more reasons to keep pretending, she decided to hit the bull in the eye.
"Heard you having fun in the shower." She said, watching his rapidly morphing expressions with keen interest, fighting back the grin that threatened to break through her face.
He choked at her statement, shaking his head. "I don’t know what you’re talking about." He denied, slapping himself mentally for saying something so pathetic.
"Oh really?" She asked, chuckling. She reached forward to touch his crimson ear, but he caught her hand mid-air, playfully glaring at her.
"What?" She asked, grinning. "Thought you didn’t know what I was talking about?" Chuckling, she pulled her hand from the grip, sitting back in her seat.
"You’re enjoying this way too much." He grumbled, taking the napkin before him and placing it on his lap.
"Of course, I am!" She retorted, the excitement in her tone caused him to look up at her in confusion. "What?!" She asked, giving him an incredulous look. "Are my not allowed to relish the fact that my mate couldn’t help but hump his fist because I didn’t let him hump me?" She said, cackling as she saw blood drain completely from his face as he absorbed her words.
"Damn you, Bethany!" He couldn’t help but scream, tiny bits of frustration lacing his voice, causing her to double over on the table, laughing so hard tears couldn’t help but spill continuously from her reddened eyes.
"I swear to God, you’re the worst." He spat, feigning anger as he opened his dish.
