Chapter 44: Pregnant?!
Later that same day, when Cheon Areum stirred awake once again, the scent of something warm and savory lingered in the air. Yoon Seoyul had already prepared a simple breakfast—nothing elaborate, but clearly made with care. A neat plate sat on the dining table, still warm, waiting just for him.
Cheon Areum sat in silence, head lolling slightly as sleep clung to his eyes. He stared blankly at the plate, not lifting a finger. Rian, already halfway through his meal, cheerfully cleaned off his dish and scampered off to get ready for daycare. Left behind in the growing quiet, Cheon Areum slumped back into his chair. Remembering his days as a lazy lord who was spoon-fed most of the time, his mood plummeted.
"You don’t like it?"
Yoon Seoyul spoke as he sat on the opposite side of the dining table.
"Feed me."
Without thinking, the words slipped out of Cheon Areum’s mouth. He wanted to take them back immediately, but before he could, Yoon Seoyul simply picked up his fork with a calm look and began to feed him.
And so, without another word, Cheon Areum finished breakfast on time.
After dropping Rian off at daycare—where, surprisingly, the little one had taken an instant liking—Yoon Seoyul drove straight to the guild building with Cheon Areum in the passenger seat. They parked in the underground parking as Yoon Seoyul got out of the car. Cheon Areum lingered after unbuckling, his hand hovering over the door handle. He had carefully chosen a black turtleneck to hide the hickeys on his neck and even thrown on a denim jacket as extra cover. Still, walking into the building was one thing—walking in together from the same elevator and heading to the office side by side? That would definitely give the guild members some... weird ideas. His fingers curled slightly at the edge of his jacket as he hesitated, standing just behind Yoon Seoyul.
"Areum?"
"You go first. I’ll come up a bit later..."
Before Cheon Areum could make up his mind, Yoon Seoyul reached out and took his hand without asking. He tugged him gently but firmly toward the elevators, leaving no room for protest. As they walked, Yoon Seoyul pulled out his phone with his free hand, pressing it to his ear as it rang.
