Chapter 31: It can’t be...
Cheon Areum wobbled to a clear ground and plopped down, still occasionally choking on the dirt. For how long was he out? He hadn’t checked the time since entering the gate and storing his phone in the inventory.
Is this their way of restricting me from using my abilities?
The last time he used his abilities, he had no such effects. The only reason he passed out was because of the merging of the essence with his energy, but when he was using his abilities, he hadn’t felt any discomfort at all.
Just who are they to try to—restrict me? An S+ Class?
No matter how much they tried to stop him, he had to use his abilities for them to clear the gate. As he was aware, Cheon Areum was the only one who could dig out the hidden monsters. Facing the graveyard, he stared at the area—almost as big as the town itself. A ground this large was perfect. Unleashing a thousand of them in the town would be a disadvantage. They hadn’t memorized the town’s map, and since most of them had long-range abilities, the buildings would only hinder them—and the movements of close-range fighters like Yoon Seoyul.
The non-guild members could all use their abilities in close and long range, but getting too close without knowing what kind of monsters would appear would also be dangerous. The safest way would be to gather them in the center and attack until all of them were gone.
That was when he was jolted back from his thoughts by a low voice behind him.
"Where have you been all this time?"
Recognizing it immediately, Cheon Areum came face to face with Yoon Seoyul walking up to him slowly, seemingly unperturbed—but his hands and clothes were covered in a whitish dust.
Cheon Areum got up, sighing and patting the back of his legs. Inho and Hwan followed after, panting. Seeing Yoon Seoyul, they slowed down and caught their breath.
"Master, it’s hard to keep up with you. Please have mercy on us too..."
