Chapter 155: Hiding (1)
"Lucas! What are we going to do with so much food?!"
I looked at all of the silver platters in front of us with pure shock! It seemed like he wasn’t joking when he said that he was willing to order the entire menu!
Lucas let out a small chuckle, "What do you mean? We eat it, of course!" He leaned over the table and opened a few of the lids, releasing steam as he uncovered the delectable dishes.
My stomach nearly jumped out of my body from excitement. The food looked just as good as it did in the pictures and smelled even better than I could have imagined. "Just by the appearance, I feel like they deserve at least half of those awards listed!"
Lucas laughed but nodded, "Yes, I completely agree. The moment the first dish was opened, my stomach growled as if I hadn’t eaten in days! Come, let’s dig in before it gets cold."
I immediately went to cut off a piece of the juicy steak in front of me. I wasn’t exactly sure of what sort of cut it was, but it looked amazing. Lucas cut himself a small piece of a different steak and filled the rest of his plate with various side dishes and salads.
For the first few minutes, we sat in complete silence, simply enjoying the delicious food in front of us. I was just about to ask Lucas to pass me the small salad that was on his side of the table when we both froze in our seats.
Bang!Bang!Bang!
I froze in my seat and looked over at Lucas. The banging on the door was so fierce I felt like whoever it was would break the door down.
