Chapter 127: Office Re-Discovery [Christian POV]
I followed behind Leslie, staying two steps behind. She increased her pace to distance herself from me even more.
She ran like a little rabbit, turning at the end of the hall to run to the adjacent office. I watched her with dark eyes, looking at her like a hunter towards his prey.
Her tight pencil skirt only made me even more distracted. The silhouette of her bottom matched what I had pictured last night perfectly.
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of her office door, blankly staring at it. When I realized where I was, I clenched my fist angrily.
No! You still don’t know if this was some sort of trap! It’s possible that she could be related to the accident.
I scolded myself as I made my way to my office. There was no reason for me to be so obsessed with her, especially when I didn’t have my memories.
Once I sat down behind my desk, I looked at all of the documents that were waiting for my approval. Most of them were reports from the Sophia season launch.
The first document I picked up was probably the most important. It was the final profit report that stated the sales vs. cost breakdown of all of the pieces.
My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw how much each piece of jewelry sold for. These sales numbers would break every record Sophia ever had in sales, even during its best years.
"This single season even made enough profit to carry Sophia through another two years of business. This is incredible!" I muttered with shaking hands.
I quickly flipped through the rest of the documents to figure out who it was that led the event this year-- they deserved a huge bonus for their success. However, as I flipped through the various documents, I realized that in the places where the project head’s name was supposed to be, it was Blake’s name instead.
