Chapter 67: Airport
Thanks to Jonathan’s excellent driving, we made it to the airport perfectly on time.
"Here, put on your sunglasses," said Christian, handing me the pair he took off earlier.
We parked right in front of the main entrance, where people were coming and going. I was nervous about being noticed but our causal clothing and outwardly simple looking car helped blend us into the crowd.
If we drove in any other one of Christian’s cars, we’d be on the front cover of every magazine by now.
Christian reached out and held my hand as we entered the large building. My heart pounded in my chest from his intimate actions, making me feel like I was his girlfriend...or wife.
He made it seem so natural, as if that’s how we’ve always been and always should be.
Maybe I’m just overthinking everything.
Jonathan followed behind us, carrying the suitcases that I brought from home. I looked at Christian, confused about where his luggage was.
Is he one of those people who doesn’t pack and just buys what he needs when he gets to his destination?
We weaved through the many groups of people until we reached the ticket counter at the very far end of the airport. Surprisingly, there was no one else in line at this counter.
"Good afternoon, sir. How may I help you today?" asked the attendant.
