Secretly Mine

Chapter 22: Orientation

The moment we stepped out of the elevator, we stepped into a magnificent hallway. The walls and floors were covered in black marble with gold accents.

The hallway was long, spanning the entire length of the building, leading to a set of wooden double doors that mimicked the ones at the entrance outside.

Thankfully, there was no one to see us in our disheveled state from the short elevator ride, and we made our way down the hallway towards the double doors.

The sounds of my heels clicking on the marble floors lightly echoed. The sound helped me ground myself a little, restoring my composure.

Christian walked straight through the double doors without pausing.

This must be his office.

Although I was technically an heiress of a prominent family, this would be my first time in a CEO’s office. Excitement and curiosity began to take over as I approached, curious to see what I would see on the other side.

I pictured my father’s study, feeling like Christian’s office was something similar to that, but as soon as I was led through the doors, I realized how wrong I was.

Christian’s office was at least double, if not triple, the size of my father’s study and hundreds of times more luxurious.

The entire back wall of the room was made out of floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city.

"Please take a seat. I need to call my secretary in momentarily", said Christian as he walked over to his large, solid wood desk.
