Chapter 20: Vittoria Global
As soon as we drove out of our gated neighborhood, I was quickly distracted by all of the sights outside.
It was hard to believe that this was actually happening and not just another one of my many daydreams. I was able to leave this cage of a mansion, even if it was for just a few hours a day.
The driver remained quiet and focused on the road in front of him. I recognized him as one of my father’s personal drivers.
Seems like Father is keeping tabs on me.
This wasn’t surprising to me. Many aspects of my personal life were regularly monitored, even the websites and messages on my cell phone, which was why I hardly ever used it.

As we drove further into the city, the streets became more and more crowded with people and cars. Life buzzed all around, as people rushed to go about their business.
I smiled, watching the men and women walking in groups, wearing tailored suits. This was where the professionals gathered, exchanging ideas and solving problems.
Quickly, the tall buildings were replaced with even taller ones. Some even seemed to reach the clouds above.
I knew very little about Christian’s company outside of it being very successful, and was curious about which one of these buildings belonged to him.
The driver didn’t stop until we were in the very heart of the city center, where the most coveted retail spaces were located.
