Chapter 17: Family Breakfast
Christian continued to kiss me, even after he got fully dressed.
After a few minutes, I finally pushed him away.
"You need to go before the servants come. We can’t be caught!" I said, looking down at the clock.
Christian leaned in for one final kiss. It was deep, passionate, and filled with reluctance to leave.
He finally stood up and made his way to the bedroom door.
"I’ll see you at breakfast, beautiful. Oh, and sorry about the marks in advance", he flashed a cheeky smile before stealthily sneaking into the hallway.
Marks?
I quickly stood up, but before I could take a single step forward, I felt my legs buckle beneath me, causing me to fall to the ground.
"Ouch!" I winced at the pain from falling over.
I ordered my legs to stand up, but they were so shaky that I wasn’t sure if I would make it to the bathroom.
"This is probably why Christian apologized", I sighed.
