Chapter 174: proposal

"Oh wow." I was the first to break the silence, still feeling extremely stunned as I tentatively stepped over the flower petals. The candles on the ground were arranged beautifully in heart shapes and I was blown away all over again. Kenny was just as shocked when I flashed over at him and I gasped in surprise again.
Kenny picked up one of the petals and rubbed it between his fingers before throwing Jason an awed look. When I glanced over at Jason, I realized that he was worried. It wasn’t so obvious, but his brows were squeezed together and that only happened whenever he was worried. I wanted to instantly soothe the likes away with my thumbs or my lips.
"How did you- how is this possible? And we didn’t get a wind of it all?" Kenny questioned in a shocked bleat of laughter, saying the question on my mind. Jason cleared his throat as he patted behind his pockets.
"Well, it was hard, I’ll have you know." He pouted a little and my chest instantly squeezed tight with emotions just as two small boxes were over his hands when he brought his hands around once again.
"And I got help from Anna and Niko. They helped in taking a lot of you guys’ attention, and basically making it impossible for y’all to be distracted enough to come to this side of the house at all. That was how I was able to do all this." He revealed before his eyes darted between the two of us.
"Do you like it?" He asked, still a little unsure and I nodded vigorously.
"Yes, of course we do! It’s so lovely!" I informed him while smiling just as Kenny spoke at the same time.
"It’s so sweet and unexpected, the time you clearly put into all of this..," he trailed off and Jason beamed, clearly pleased. In the next moment, Jason began to walk into the open arena, the black boxes still in his hands.
