Chapter 158: In the palace

"Wait, you didn’t say a thing about this before." I called out as my mouth fell open in shock. Her next dinner?!
"You mean sha might not appear to me I’d sha deen me not worthy enough? Then this whole journey would be a waste?! I questioned and Ella let out a low sigh, her lips in a small line.
"I guess I forgot to mention that." She breathed out sheepishly and I felt myself blanch even more as I kept staring at her.
"This is insane." I whispered, dragging a hand over my face just as my head began to pound. Movements of my hand caught my eyes and I glanced down at my hand after holding it before my face and I grimaced at the blue of my skin.
"Don’t overthink this. The Queen mother isn’t that difficult to please, and you clearly have a good energy, so I’m certain she’ll appear to you and won’t actually eat you up." She offered but I still felt extremely nervous and uncomfortable and I let out a long sigh.
She beaconed for me to swim the rest of the way along with her and I hesitated before falling into line along with her. In a bit; we met up with the rest of the guys and they all hooted on seeing my new appearance. That made me blush a little before clearing my throat awkwardly. I knew they all wanted me to stay back here forever and I was certain not all of them understood my reason for wanting to return back and some of them might even feel like I’m being ridiculously, but I didn’t care. I want to return back to earth and that’s what I hope would happen at the end of my meeting with this queen mother.
"What do I have to avoid saying to her to avoid her getting angry at me?" I asked and Issa snorted.
"Nothing, actually. She’s not that hard to pick. At the end of the day, it depends on your energy. If you’re a great person, she’ll appear to you without any hassle." He explained and I knew that should probably calm me down but I still felt perplexed because others might say that I was a good person, but I wasn’t sure I could actually call myself that.
