Chapter 144: Taking Action

I was against Kenny coming with me from the very beginning. It was obvious from the frown on my face right now, but Kenny was adamant on coming along with me. I want to insist he stay back but I knew he was also extremely worried about Rory, which is why we were both here presently.
I let out a sigh and pointed at the little map I had drawn out a few minutes ago.
"This is how it’s gonna go down. We’ll go do there, all the way to Alex’s pack. You’ll wait outside the palace and I’ll go in..."
"No, I’m going in with you." Kenny instantly argued and I sighed again, feeling frustrated because it was like Kenny didn’t understand the severity of this situation, if he understood but didn’t care enough about his own life at this point. I didn’t like that. I care about him and didn’t want him to out himself in harms way because of this situation. I’m the only one allowed to do that and not him.
"It’s dangerous so you won’t be doing that." I informed him firmly and he scorned at me, clearly as irritated as I feel.
"I’m going with you and that’s final."
I turned towards him and threw my hands up In frustration. "I’m just looking out for you! I don’t want you to get hurt but you don’t seem to be understanding that. This is very dangerous, Kenny. The fact that Rory was taken smoothly in a short amount of time is proof of that." I snapped as I reached up and pinched my nose.
Kenny’s face turned into a frown just as he pointed a hand at me. "You can’t tell me what to do, Jason. You might control me in the bedroom but out here, we’re equals. How the fuck do you expect me to stay back while you go in?" He demanded, jaw clenched and scent annoyed.
