Chapter 126: ‘No one hurts what belongs to me’

The only time I’ve ever felt this pressing urge of possessiveness was with Rory. This was the second person I was feeling this emotion from. It came out of nowhere and took up all the space in my chest, making it hard for me to breathe for a moment. I had been in the middle of an important meeting when Kenny’s call came in this afternoon where he explained that Rory had fainted and that he had gotten a mysterious letter from Alex. Of course I exited the meeting at that exact moment, uncaring that it was important, heading straight home at once.
Home. This was what I now consider home. Wherever Rory and Kenny were at.
On arriving home, I had been pleased to see the two of them cuddled together, and it had tugged at so many emotions within me at once. After cuddling against Rory till he fell asleep, Kenny and I began to speck. Since I arrived, I had noticed something a little off about him, and my guess was confirmed when he went ahead to reveal some of the things he experienced in the hands of his ex. As he kept speaking, so many things instantly made sense to me, like how he tried pushing me away at all cost before he couldn’t fight it anymore. It was because he had been traumatized by his fucking ex.
That made an immense feeling of anger fill my lungs that I hadn’t even hesitated when I asked him if he’d like me to kill his ex.
"I mean it. Just say the word." I muttered, making sure to keep my voice low so it doesn’t disturb Rory who was still asleep.
Kenny looked very horrified as he sputtered, eyes widened and a bewildered laugh escaping his lips.
"You can’t be serious." He finally muttered, rolling his eyes and when my serious expression still didn’t change after he finished laughing, he realized that I was being dead serious and he slowly sat up.
I glanced down at Rory, taking in the relaxed way his face looked. This is how I want him to look at all times and never nervous or worked up or scared. I had already promised myself that I was going to kill Alex with my bare hands when I got a hold of him, he wouldn’t realize what hit him.
