Chapter 120: date pt.2
Rory’s pov
The stars are as beautiful as I used to imagine they’d be when being this close to them. The clouds looked like air and when I moved my fingers through them, I was met with nothing. My cheeks hurt from how much I was grinning when I turned around in the hot air balloon to stare at Jason. Only a little light remained here in the balloon, Jason said that was because he wanted us to watch the stars this way.
"I always sat beneath the stars each night when I was young, wondering if I’d one day make it in life." I admitted as I glanced between Kenny and Jason. The lights in the sky illuminated their faces alright, and they both looked so kissable right now.
"And guess who ended up making it?" Jason drawled and I laughed softly. We were alone up here, apparently it wasn’t hard to learn how to control it so while putting our date together, Jason mastered how to steer this.
"It’s all thanks to Kenny." I admitted almost immediately and Kenny shook his head as his hand settled across my waist which he used in tugging me close to his front.
"Stop saying that, doll. I’ve told you countless times that it’s all because of you." He chastened softly as he kissed my cheeks and I exhaled as I leaned against his chest, there was no use of me trying to argue with him right now, not when I knew he’d still insist on being right about this topic.
"The stars are as beautiful as you two." Jason spoke softly, fingers reaching out to graze my cheek for a moment before reaching for Kenny’s as well. My stomach did a little flip around. It was still hard to sometimes believe that this was the new normal between the three of us. All of a sudden, Kenny and I weren’t alone anymore and there was a third man always present around every corner of our home, till he ended up weaving his way right into our hearts.
"And as you as well." I finally responded, eyes trained on Jason who hummed, appearing very pleased right now. He inched closer to us and wrapped his arms around Kenny and I, hugging us against his chest while we all resumed watching the stars.
