Chapter 198: Depth of the situation
The nurse hurriedly asked a junior to fetch a glass of cold water to help Marita feel hydrated since she was sweating too much from the onset of her panic attack. Struggling to breathe easy, Marita also couldn’t stop her tears from streaming down, while pleading helplessly before the nurse. In fact her hands were shaking so much that she couldn’t even grab the glass of water from her hands, due to which Granny Elma helped her to have a sip from the glass.
"Mari...please calm down a bit. Alright, if you want to leave so much, then I will take you back home today... Can you rest easy now?" Gently massaging her back shoulder, Granny Elma muttered those words while helping Marita drink water while she held the glass.
Moreover, she even noticed just those few reassuring words from her was making her calm down a bit, so she continued persuading Marita in a timid voice, "I am right here by your side, so please...you don’t have to be so scared. No one can harm you, nor our precious Kyle. And I am sure of it!"
After witnessing Zenith fierce overprotectiveness for Kylian on that day when he didn’t even hesitate to smash that bald loanshark guy’s face in front of everyone, the incident had certainly left a deep impact on Granny Elma.
She always despised people who used violence to settle anything, but for the first time in her long life, she felt admiration towards that young masked boy who stood up gallantly to protect Kylian, creating a deep fear in the minds of those gangster subordinates who were present as the witness.
For the first time after witnessing a violent act, when she was tying her torn piece of skirt on Zenith’s injured palm, all she could feel inside was a deep reassurance pondering that even if he was far from Marita, in a new place and among new people, yet still, Kylian would have someone who could watch his back and protect him from any approaching grave danger.
And now...watching Marita get horrified with the panic attack, she wanted to convey the reassuarnce she had felt on that day, with gentle taps on her shoulder, "Mari, don’t think that our little boy is all alone without us afar... I am certain, he has many good people around him who will definitely protect him at any stake. You can take my word, okay?"
While she was helping Marita to breathe at ease, the nurse exhaled a heavy sigh and exchanged a brief eye-contact with her subordinate, before she mumbled in a solemn tone, "Her condition appears similar to symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and I am sure, something she must’ve experienced here that triggered her panic attack.
"Such patients are pretty dificult to deal with, since I know...they wouldn’t be able to feel at ease until the thing which had triggered their traumatic memory would be subsided. Maybe...that’s why, she wants to leave from here."
"Then...shall I discharge her from here, Ma’am?" When the young junior nurse asked her confusedly, it made that nurse frown her brows, as she looked quite worried while contemplating about the steps needed to take ahead.
But by that time when she was still not returning to the cabin, all those men who were hired by Zenith to watch after her in the hospital rushed towards that hallway, only to be shocked to find Marita in such a diseveled state. Those men exchanged confused glances with each other, but before any of them could speak, Marita finished the glass of water slowly and lifted her teary gaze at the nurse, while mumbling again, "Please...M-Ma’am, I can’t stay here anymore. P-Please I need to go..."
"Miss. Marita, you just recently had your critical surgery, and now when your ailing heart needs proper medical attention, I can’t just go ahead and—"
