Chapter 91: Her name?
[FLASHBACK: 14 Years Ago]
"Huh? Hahaha...Where did you learn that term from?" Zorina let out a soft embarrassed chuckle while wrapping her arms around Zenith to embrace him in her arms.
"Umm, my playschool teacher said...if we like someone, we would be worried for them." Zenith tried to explain in his limited knowledge while scratching the back of his small head. "You were also worried for her, right, Mom?"
"Yes, I was." When Zorina finally stopped laughing, she exhaled a heavy sigh while explaining to him calmly, "But I didn’t like that girl romantically, unfortunately, she fell for me. Its true that I was very worried for her after she suddenly disappeared and I used to adore her innocent, kind-hearted nature very much.
"But, to be honest, I had already met your dad when I was in the last year of my high school, and had fallen for him too. Your dad was my first love and the only one I have ever loved, Zen. Our marriages were finalized by our families, but I was very happy to be with him. And because of him, I was blessed to have you too, so what else can make me happy?"
"But..." Suddenly Zenith’s small face turned a bit glum when he leaned his eyes down from her face and muttered in a low voice, "Dad has never called you beautiful, Mom. He never even looks at you...nor does he ever play with me. Shouldn’t you have been happier with someone who used to love you, Mom?"
Zenith’s blunt question suddenly tainted Zorina’s smile a little, as her pitch-black eyes were tainted with sadness. She paused for a small moment realizing the depth of his question that came out of the blue.
But shortly after that, she forged another chuckle to lighten up the mood, "Of course, Dad loves both of us very much, Zen. He just does not express it very much, and you know how busy he’s always with work. But he’s actually very devoted to his family, so never think ill of your Dad, okay?"
Even though Zenith was little, he could vividly see Zorina’s attempt to forge lies under the mask of her fake smile as she tried to console his heart. Zenith didn’t argue and only nodded to him since his heart knew even though Zorina was sick, Dolemort didn’t even bother to check up on her once, instead, he was the one who asked Dr. Albert to forbid Zenith from going near Zorina.
