Chapter 87: He seems like an omega?
Unable to rest easy, Kylian was constantly marching back and forth in the hallway, overthinking about the conversation Zenith and Aiden might be having right now. His head was filled with countless anxious thoughts, making him too uneasy. But when he was on the verge of being unable to stand his nervousness and rushed out of the building to follow after them, Aiden seemed to be returning back to the dormitory room, bearing a very serious look on his face.
Aiden flinched a little seeing Kylian march outside on the hallway, but as soon as their gaze met each other, Kylian approached him first. He tossed a clumsy smile while trying to clear the awkward air around them, "H-Hi, it seems you h-had misunderstood me earlier. I-I didn’t sigh aloud because I am displeased to see you here or something, it’s just that I was very surprised—"
"It’s alright. You don’t have to put that unnecessary regard or greet me." However, interrupting his words, Aiden grunted in a nonchalant tone, while his orbs narrowed at him, "I am already aware of the deal you had made with Zenith."
His sudden answer struck Kylian inside like a powerful jolt of thunder as if the ground beneath his foot had started to slip away. The harrowing fear dawned inside his chest, making him stifled to breathe easily.
’Did Zenith...tell him about my transition as an Omega? But...h-he had sworn to me that he would protect my secret safely with him as long as I go along with his whims... Then...d-did I make a grave mistake by putting my faith on him? Did he...really expose me after all?’
The skeptical thoughts clouded inside his mind one by one, making Kylian feel too restless from the inside as if just those negative assumptions about Zenith were making his heart ache terribly hard.
However, using his keen observation skills, Aiden was quick to notice Kylian’s face turning dark from a hidden angst inside him. Initially, he wanted to twist his words and obtain some more information from Kylian, but watching his pale apprehensive look unknowingly softened his rigid heart a little, as if Aiden didn’t feel the urge to make him more anxious.
He rather responded in a cold voice while glowering towards him, "Zenith has told me that you have agreed to become his pet and he will be your Master, under the condition that he’ll have to stop bothering those weak students in the Academy. This was the original deal between you two, right?"
After hearing Aiden’s words, Kylian felt a breather of relief as if a heavy load of fear was off his chest. His pale strenuous face started to regain his usual complexion when he wondered himself, ’Thank Goodness... Thank Goodness he kept his word... Thank Goodness Zenith didn’t betray me...
’No...what am I thinking?’
When Kylian felt immense relief, the next moment his own concern hit his mind as he observed how dependent he was becoming on Zenith.
