Chapter 71: Similar To Wedding Scenario
Hearing Kylian’s frustrated grunt, made Zenith think of a quick idea to help him. He knelt down before Kylian on the wet sand and took off his white sneakers before he could calmly put them on Kylian.
"Wh-What are you doing?" Startled to watch him suddenly kneeling down as if it was a dreamy scenery from the movie, Kylian tried to retreat a few steps back from him. But before he could do so, Zenith’s instincts were sharp as he captured Kylian’s feet and carefully made him wear his own sneakers.
Thankfully watching his shoes had perfectly fitted Kylian, Zenith lifted his face up at him, tossing a radiant smile when he uttered, "Wear mine. Since I bring troubles for you...so I should be the one to tackle them off too, right?"
"But...why would I accept this..." Kylian nervously murmured as his orbs rolled in shock when he checked the brand of Zenith’s shoes. They probably cost millions of dollars, and just fairly assuming the price, Kylian intended to take them off, "No, they must be insanely expensive...I can’t accept such a precious thing from you—"
"I don’t take it back once I have given away something. Besides, I have probably thousands of such shoes piled up in the dormitory so stop overthinking and wear them. It looks good on you."
But Zenith calmly addressed him when he stood up on his bare feet with a soft smile as he kept his gaze fixated on Kylian’s face, "Consider it as a gift for your 19th birthday from me, will this reason ease your mind now?"
~ "Damn...he doesn’t seem like the heartless jerk you had assumed him to be, right, Kylian? He has his considerate side too, and you can’t deny it either."
Upon hearing Morpheus’s soft mumble, Kylian couldn’t hide the flustered hue on his cheeks as somehow he was touched by Zenith’s strangely gentle actions towards him.
With a soft nod when he answered him, watching his flushed red cheeks tempted Zenith to tease Kylian a bit more as if he had found an oddly enchanting hobby to annoy Kylian whenever possible.
