Chapter 67: You call that a kiss?
Zenith’s sudden absurd demand out of the blue left an awkward silence between the two giant young boys, except for the gushing sound of the mild sea breeze wafting past them.
His porcelain white cheeks quickly turned flushed red, and barely trying to put on a stoic face facing Zenith, Kylian opposed in a stuttering clumsy voice, "A-A kiss? Wait, this isn’t what y-you had told me before...o-otherwise I would never agreed to do it. And I never heard it myself t-that forming a pact with an Alpha requires a k-kiss! My wolf has already felt the b-bubble consumed inside me, so I think you m-must be lying again, right?"
"I would never lie when it comes to forming a divine pact with someone." On the other hand, Zenith smartly put an indifferent expression while confronting Kylian to make sure he wouldn’t suspect anything about his mischievous plan.
After a small cough to clear his deep voice, he uttered, "Your wolf might have sensed it already but the pact formation can be only finished when an Alpha’s wolf considers it so. My wolf couldn’t sense it yet, and since you are a dominant omega, it would be better to have direct physical contact with you which might be helpful to seal off the pact for both of us. This is what my ancestral wolf has suggested just now."
~ "Oi, you lying brat? Didn’t I just approve the pact completion right a moment ago? When the heck did I suggest you such a load of crap? Don’t you wrap me in your perverted ideas, Zenith! Don’t you realize, you’re ruining my impression before this omega, darn it!"
His ancestral short-tempered wolf Goliath strongly opposed it, making Zenith wince a little as his growl resonated vibrantly inside his head. But somehow it was expected from him.
However, keeping his aloof expression intact before Kylian, Zenith mindlinked with Goliath, trying to persuade him, "Come on, as my wolf, won’t you help me a little, Goliath? If I don’t give him a solid reason, considering his feisty nature, he would never initiate something like this, and you know that too, right?
"His confused round face looked so adorable that it was hard for me to hold myself from kissing him... And I want it right now!"
~ "But it is still unfair trying to blame me to satiate your greedy demands! Ugh, Zenith...your actions really frustrate me so much sometimes..."
Still sounding grumpy, but slightly convinced from his persuasion, after Zenith received Goliath’s approval, he inhaled a deep breath before averting his gaze back on Kylian as he grunted, "So, until you initiate a kiss first, we can’t consider the consummation of the pact. Now, its up to you to decide."
’Damn it...I knew indulging in his whims would get me into trouble...but I can’t back out from this point after coming so far...’ Kylian whined out of frustration in his mind, but it made his wolf Morpheus mind-link with him inside.
~ "As far I knew, I also never heard of this rule while making a pact with an Alpha, but if he says so, then you should go for it Kylian. It’s just a kiss, and it isn’t a big deal at the very least."
