Chapter 56: Do whatever it takes!
Watching Zenith conflicted in his inner thoughts, Dr. Albert exhaled a heavy sigh before elaborating on the seriousness of the situation that involved Kylian.
"You might have gotten a hunch what I am trying to imply here, Zenith. I hate to bring that up now, but you must be already aware of what happens when such a strong-willed person reaches close to his breaking point, right? That’s the same thing happening to Kylian now."
Dr. Albert’s cold hefty voice jolted Zenith from his thoughts back into the conversation, but that unexpected comparison made Zenith roll his onyx eyes with a dubious look deeply embedded in them. His face turned paler from the harrowing memories of his childhood, but before he could speak a word, Dr. Albert took the liberty to continue.
"Up until now, Kylian’s whole life relied on his goal to become a dominant Alpha from a very young age. Now...after watching his long-awaited dream getting crushed in such a brutal way, do you think anyone would still be possibly okay after this?
"No matter how strong he tries to act on the outside even now, the truth remains unchanged that he has transitioned into a dominant omega. And, you do know it well too that this world has been never kind towards omegas, right?"
A throbbing pang of guilt stabbed Zenith deep inside from hearing the doctor’s words, as not too long ago, he was also one of those Alphas who used to bear a despicable grudge towards all the omegas in the world. Such kind of behavior might really force someone to crumble into pieces, and he couldn’t have possibly had this realization if his path hadn’t crossed with Kylian.
Zenith couldn’t utter a word, but watching him hold a guilt-stricken look on his weary face, Dr. Albert answered while exhaling a heavy sigh, "You see, the main reason why I was asking Kylian to quit the Academy was because I wanted him to stay away from the place for the time being which had caused such a drastic alteration of his life.
"Even the slightest trigger at this moment from the other Alphas around him inside the Academy can drag him down to the dark abyss. I have tried giving him some suggestions to cope with his anxious feelings, but Zenith, you do know it too that strong-hearted ones like him upon reaching the breaking point won’t hesitate to kill themselves.
"Kylian...might really end his life this way too, Zenith."
The realization left Zenith too stunned to breathe, as now he could clearly acknowledge the depth of the situation which he had unknowingly overlooked before. Even though Kylian seemed too upset and grumpy from the outside, but maybe his cold heart had failed to realize how broken he must have been from the inside to act so bitter.
On the other hand, Dr. Albert gently patted Zenith’s shoulder when he saw him palpitating with a dreadful pale face. Trying to comfort him a bit, the doctor put on a stiff expression when he said, "Until now, I never interfered in anything you did inside the Academy Zenith, but now...I just have one request.
