Chapter 53: Only His Pheromones
His bold answer quickly turned Kylian’s cheeks red from shame as he almost protested aloud, "W-What made y-you think of that punk!? I said I would never do it with any Alpha...and I don’t l-like him at all! I hate bullies like him more than anything else in this world!"
"Haha," Dr. Albert let out a soft chuckle when he finished prescribing Kylian. Before handing it over to him, he mumbled, "You are indeed a unique omega, Kylian. I didn’t expect you would come up with such a laughable assumption...that really caught me off guard, especially when you don’t even seem to like Alphas."
But in response to his chuckle, Kylian’s face suddenly turned a bit dark when he lowered his ocean eyes. His tiny smile looked sad when he stared still at the tiles while answering, "Indeed...just in a night, my life has turned into a laughing stock. I spent my whole childhood pushing myself too hard to become stronger like Alphas and told myself never to lean on anyone...no matter what happens. You’re right, I hate Alphas...especially the ones who look down on others.
"But I wanted to become a dominant Alpha myself because that was the only path available to me to give my Mom the kind of comfort life after everything she has done for me. And look at me now, I failed miserably in doing that as well. Now, in my heat, I had to rely on a bastard Alpha’s pheromone when I didn’t even like him at all!
"Truly my life has turned into a joke...and I can’t help but blame Zenith for that too! He’s the one who was standing close to me, emitting his nasty strong pheromones which initiated my transition!"
Kylian’s deep low mumble sounded intense as if he was opening his heart to the doctor, despite hiding his raw emotions most of the time. Dr. Albert was keenly observing that the transition indeed had a big impact on his heart, making him shallow from the inside.
But moving close to him, he patted Kylian on his shoulder before he urged, "I can understand what you are going through right now, Kylian. But I have another suggestion for you. If you dislike being around Alphas, you can try to build your connection with the betas inside the Academy.
"The number of betas inside that Academy is much lower than Alphas, but at least they won’t be carnally driven by your pheromones, even if you happen to go into heat accidentally around them. I am also a beta myself, and that’s why I can assure you. Oh, Aiden is also a beta and yet he is a very strong guy. You must have met him already, right? The guy with the tattoos."
Hearing his name quickly made Kylian wince while he pouted his face at him, "Of course I know him. He’s just another annoying punk like Zenith, in fact, his tone badly pisses me off."
"Well, building a friendship with betas like him inside there won’t be a bad attempt, Kylian. But still, I will leave the decision up to you. For now, you can take some rest here and cool off your head. Do not be too hard on yourself, alright?"
