Chapter 16: This is not a dream
"Omega?" As if his entire world had come to a crashing halt, Kylian was too stunned to breathe from hearing Zenith’s growl. His ocean eyes were rolled wide, and he couldn’t blink his lashes with deep fear in them.
While growing up, watching his mother struggle too painfully as a single omega mother only to provide him with a better life made Kylian swear the vow that he would become the strongest Alpha who could shield his mother from this unfair world. His whole world revolved around his iron will to become the Alpha!
Despite being sensitive to Alpha pheromones, he had strained his body through harsh training through which he would be able to tackle any hard situation. Even when he didn’t shift on his 18th birthday, his firm belief in the Moon Goddesses didn’t fade away, to whom he had deliberately prayed every night to make him shift into a dominant Alpha.
But fate isn’t always as kind as we imagine it to be.
When the painful reality hit him hard on his 19th birthday, Kylian wasn’t able to process the shock. His body started heating up drastically and following Zenith’s growl, even he could also sense an enchantingly sweet smell like flowers was indeed emitting from him for the first time in his whole life.
The sudden changes in his body had scared Kylian badly as he crawled a few steps back from Zenith on the floor, before groaning in a shivered low tone, "A-Are you f-fuckin’ crazy? I...I am an A-Alpha! W-Why would an Alpha ever go into heat?"
But when Kylian was trying to muster all of his strength in facing him, the situation worsened for Zenith on the other hand.
As a dominant supreme pure-blood Alpha who is very rare to find among the hierarchy, he has been always very sensitive towards the omega pheromones, especially bearing his ardent hatred towards them deep in his heart since his childhood.
The soft sweet scent of omegas usually arouses the dominant Alphas to the point that they lose all their self-restraint, he had always felt disgusted just by having a small whiff of those sweet pheromones.
