My Accidental Husband Is My Revenge Partner

Chapter 393: You Look Familiar

Anastasia was outside the house where the girls were staying, pacing back and forth with an unsettled heart. She couldn’t stand still no matter how hard she tried, her nerves getting the better of her as she waited for Xavier and Tracie to arrive.

"If you’re feeling anxious, why don’t you go inside and rest for a bit?" Alex suggested casually, with a bag of snacks in hand.

"He’s right about that," Julian added. "Oh, and the men I sent as disguised guards gave me an update."

Anastasia immediately turned to him, her ears practically straining to catch every word. "What did they find?"

"They’ve managed to blend in without suspicion. The palace is tense, though. Your visit shook them up, and the king and queen have been holding secret meetings ever since," Julian said casually.

Anastasia’s lips curled into a small, satisfied smirk. "Perfect."

"Unfortunately, they didn’t find anything suspicious. If the royal family had a hideout, then it certainly isn’t in the palace. They have it somewhere else," Julian added.

Anastasia’s shoulders dropped in disappointment. She’d hoped they would be able to find something and be closer to what Theous and Jelzem were up to.

"Should I meet with Izara? The girl seems to be a good person and she also seems to be against what her family is into," she asked, glancing between Alex and Julian who sighed in sync.

"She’s still their daughter and you can’t simply assume with what she told you, she’s a good person. What if it’s a trap?" Alex asked.

"Also, even if she knew where the hideout was, there wasn’t a guarantee that she would tell you anything. If she was good, she would have done something about it instead of speaking to you in riddles," Julian added.
