Chapter 383: The Idea
"He’s a little confused about his decisions in life, but I can tell you we have the same goal," Xander replied with a grin on his lips. "As for why I didn’t tell you, I don’t trust you quite enough for that."
Julian was deeply shocked by Xander’s words.
He glanced over to Samantha who made eye contact with him for a few seconds before focusing on her computer and typing away.
"I’ve been with you in the business for the longest time ever and you’re telling me you don’t trust me?" Julian questioned. He needed to find who this informant was as soon as possible.
"Just because I’ve known you doesn’t guarantee that I trust you completely," Xander replied. "You don’t need to know everything, Julian."
Julian was beyond confused now because the words Xander was spouting didn’t make any sense to him. He didn’t insist. He just needed to inform Anastasia as soon as possible and have this informant discovered.
"You don’t need to get so emotional. The informant is someone who has been giving us information. So in short, we have to rely on him to stir clear from Xavier for now," Samantha finally chimed in.
Julian glanced at her, realizing he shouldn’t be overreacting now. However, his curiosity remained.
