Chapter 343: Suspicious Car
Anastasia resisted the urge to laugh at the scene. The man and his wife had already gone pale while looking at Avery as if she were some kind of ghost. She tore her gaze from them to look at the couple that were already looking at her.
"Isn’t she Anastasia Wallace, the wife of Xavier Wallace?" The wife asked.
Not only Anastasia, but Julian, Samantha, and Xander were shocked by the woman’s question as it was unexpected.
The husband took a closer look at Anastasia as if to confirm. "It is Anastasia Wallace. So this is where you’ve been these past few months?"
Anastasia wanted to scoff at his question because it sounded like she intentionally and purposely left her husband’s side to choose to be a surrogate to people.
Then the man turned to Xander. "You were the one who kidnapped her?"
Xander and Samantha were now high on alert in case they’d mistakenly led someone faithful to Xavier into their factory. If that was the case, then they’d made the biggest mistake of their life.
Samantha and Xander shared a cautious look and it seemed the client understood their hidden message.
"Oh, you don’t have to worry. I’m not one of Xavier’s faithful men or anything of that sort. I don’t even like that guy. He thinks just because he owns a multi-billionaire company, he can step on people just because he wants to." The man snorted at the end of his words before he turned to Anastasia with a grin that made her shift uncomfortably. "But I’m glad that his wife will be bearing our child. He claims to be powerful and all that, but he can’t even find his wife who’d been missing for months." He and his wife laughed in mockery that made goosebumps rise on her skin.
