Chapter 331: Let Me Go
A few hours later,
Anastasia woke with a jolt, her cheek burning from the sting of a slap. Blinking groggily, she tried to make sense of what was happening, her heart racing as she took in her surroundings.
Her hand covered the part of her cheeks that she’d been slapped. It was numb but stung due to how painful it was.
"Get up!!" Samantha demanded.
Anastasia winced in pain as she got into a seating position in the car. Her head swayed, everything becoming blurry as she tried to wonder where she was and how she’d gotten there.
Then it all came rushing back—Samantha was taking her to the factory, the heart of their illegal operations. Fear gripped her as she realized there was no escape.
And then, Michelle and Avery....
Anastasia still wondered if they were both working together against her. That was impossible since Avery was a slave and Michelle wouldn’t stoop so low to want to mingle with a slave such as Avery.
Anastasia decided to throw away those thoughts since she would no longer be living in that house.
Now, she needed to see how her life would turn out in this so-called factory.
Gently, Anastasia stepped out of the car due to how dizzy she felt. She couldn’t wonder but help what they’d hit her head with to make her sleep for so long. And now, she had no idea what route they took to get to the factory.
