Chapter 323: Finding Out
"I was also about to go to the house, but since you’re here, I might as well just ask you what’s been in my mind." Julian didn’t give Xander the chance to say a word, then he continued. "When are you going to give me Anastasia?"
"Anastasia is no longer for sale. I’ve decided that she will be going to the factory in the next few days," Xander responded.
"And what’s that supposed to mean? I already told you I wanted the girl!" Julian retaliated, clearly exasperated by Xander’s words.
"And you’re not getting the girl," Xander responded, only fueling Julian’s anger.
"You can pick someone else," Samantha added, glaring at him with dissatisfaction evident in her expression.
"I’m not satisfied with the torture Anastasia is going through. She’s going to suffer more and I’m going to let Xavier see all of that!"
Julian could only sigh, palming his face as he pinched the skin between his eyebrows in utter frustration.
"Are you really happy with what you’re doing?" Julian couldn’t help but ask.
"And what’s that supposed to mean?" Bruce immediately interrupted. He wouldn’t want anyone asking Xander if he was happy with how things were going, which would only lead the latter to rethink about the decisions he’d made in the past and the ones he was going to make in the future. "Xander is making Xavier pay for every wrong thing he’d done to him in the past and I think he’s right in doing so!"
Julian’s eyes narrowed as he caught the unusual tension in Bruce’s posture, like he was guarding something. Suspicion crept in his mind as he studied him.
Xander’s eyes gleamed with a hardened resolve as he turned to Bruce, "I don’t let debts slide, and that includes his. He’ll pay what he owes, one way or another."
