Chapter 314: Days After The Crimson Hunt
"What are you going to do about it?" He asked.
"You wouldn’t want me to reveal your secret now would you?" Bruce questioned back, watching as his best friend panicked when he heard his words. "You wouldn’t want him to know the truth, right?"
"What’s that supposed to mean?" Mr Wallace questioned, taking a threatening step towards Bruce.
"You know exactly what that’s supposed to mean," Bruce replied, dropping his bottle and facing Mr Wallace again. "I know your secrets, Thomas. And as much as I don’t want to expose you, don’t push it."
Mr. Wallace chuckled, unable to believe what he was hearing.
"I was there for Xander when you abandoned him, and you only find him useful now because he has connections you might need shortly, isn’t that right, Thomas?"
The grin still hung on Mr Wallace’s face but he didn’t respond to Bruce.
In the past, Mr Wallace always thought Xander was a bad fruit he needed to get out of his life, which was why he took his opportunity when Xander refused to break up with Arabella and kicked him out of the Wallace mansion.
He favored all his sons except for Xander. But now that Bruce was able to mold Xander into someone useful, Mr Wallace wanted the son to recognize him as his father again. However, Mr Wallace didn’t regret all that he’d done to Xander in the past, and he wasn’t going to start regretting them anytime soon.
