Chapter 281: Some Punches
"Xander is a useless son!" He claimed. "There’s only one thing he can do in the company, and that’s to run it down!"
"Don’t be preposterous now, Thomas. I can’t believe that’s how you think of your very own son! Think for once in your life. Are you doing the right thing?" She questioned, ready to face him on that night.
Mr Wallace glanced at his wife, anger surging through as he resisted the urge to smack her across the face. He’d never beaten his wife before, but now he was tempted to do so.
Perhaps if she had not gotten pregnant with the twins back when they were still in college, he wouldn’t have had to marry her. Then he would still have Nora by his side.
"Don’t talk to me like that, woman!!" Mr Wallace demanded, and Xavier had to block his path more properly when he was about to attack his mother.
Xander came out of his hiding spot and blocked his path also.
"You’re drunk, father! Go rest and we’ll talk in the morning," he said, but deep down, his tongue felt bitter after what Mr Wallace had said.
"You get out of my way!!" Mr Wallace shoved Xander out of his way and the latter ended up falling on the group with a harsh force that accidentally made him bruise his elbow. "Don’t you dare call me your father! I’m not your father!!"
Mr Wallace’s eyes were so red one would think that blood had flooded his eyes.
