Chapter 269: Xattlewood
Xavier had to cover his ears from the deafening explosion it had just suffered from. However, despite the pain his body passed through, he didn’t intend to let Xander escape from him so easily.
Quickly, Xavier chased after him.
"He has ran away!!" Xavier yelled into his earpiece, immediately calling for a backup. "I’m currently chasing after him."
The winds rushed past Xander, sending his hair dancing as he continued to run further away from Xavier. He had no idea why he was running since he’d indeed agreed for them to meet up and talk.
However, he knew deep inside of him he was never going to get Anastasia back. Not now, not ever, until Xavier had paid for all of his sins.
"Xander!!" Xander heard Xavier’s voice from behind him as his feet tried to catch up with him.
Xander was older than Xavier since he was the first to come out of the belly. However, Xavier was taller by one inch, making his legs longer and capable of closing their distance quickly if Xander would just stop increasing it.
"If you don’t stop, I’m going to shoot," Xavier warned, his gun aimed at Xander as the latter continued to run.
"Would love to see you try, brother. Your wife is still with me. If anything bad happens to me, my men know what to do with her," Xander threatened back.
"In that case, I guess you must love getting shot then!"
Without further warning, Xavier fired the bullet but missed. Then Xander’s laughter etched with mockery filled his ears next.
