Chapter 267: Avery
Anastasia stared at the girl through the vanity mirror. The girl looked as pale as a ghost, with huge eye bags settled beneath her hollow eyes, which resembled empty caves. Her lifeless gaze sent a chill down Anastasia’s spine, unsettling her deeply.
Anastasia wanted to speak, to ask the girl what had happened, but her tongue felt heavy, as if it were tied down. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t bring herself to move it, the weight of the silence pressing down on her.
Anastasia glanced at the white clothes the girl was wearing. They were all torn in several places, revealing her panties and the sides of her breasts which made Anastasia wonder where the girl was coming from or if she was going to change.
Then Anastasia’s eyes settled on the blood stain that trailed from below her clothes, kissing her legs before it dropped on the ground.
Anastasia held her breath, wishing she could under see that because her stomach suddenly churned with the urge to throw up.
Anastasia didn’t respond or rather, she didn’t think she needed to respond. So when the strange girl was done observing her, she went her way, taking her chokable awful stank along with her although she’d polluted the air already.
Once Anastasia saw the girl settle in front of a mirror without bothering to even wash up or change her clothes, she released the air she’d been holding in all this while.
"Who was that girl?" She asked.
"That girl? That’s Avery. We don’t talk about her because she’s a maniac," Elizabeth was the one to respond, her gaze on the Avery girl who had started straightening her hair.
"How come I’ve never seen her here before?" Anastasia questioned.
"That’s because Avery was locked up in the dark room as punishment," Angelina whispered, her voice barely audible. She leaned in closer to Anastasia, careful not to let Avery overhear. "She was caught sneaking into Samantha’s room one night while she was away. The guards found her and took her straight to the dark room. When Samantha returned and found out, she ordered half of the men here to gang rape her for a week straight."
