Chapter 257: Arriving
Hi everyone!! Thanks for making it this far into the novel. Unfortunately, we will have to watch Anastasia experience another character development since she has lost her memories :( Some of the scenes can be too gruesome so please be warned. But don’t worry, I will add a trigger warning in every Chapter that contains them. Thanks once again :3
As they stepped inside the house, Anastasia could feel all the hair on her body stand on their ends. There was something about the air that was wrapped around the house which she didn’t find comfortable at all.
The man with the scar didn’t let go of her until they reached the living room.
Anastasia glanced around, feeling even more uncomfortable. The place did look like a normal house, but the stench that was surrounding it was unbearable. She sneakily darted her eyes between the people by her side, making sure they were also smelling the same thing she was smelling. However, their expressions seemed neutral without a single ounce of discomfort.
Anastasia sighted two heavy-weight men who were settled on the couch. One’s leg flew to the east and the other to the west, drinking a beer as they watched something that sounded like a sports game which was recognizable due to the background sound coming from the TV.
The other one was lying on the ground, his supposed white clothes looking like they’d been used to mob the ground and then given to him to wear back.
As soon as they felt their presence in the living room, they stood on their feet faster than lightning would strike a tree.
"Boss you’re here. Welcome," one of them said, both their heads lowered as they greeted Xander.
Xander responded with a glare, his eyes falling on their dirty clothes, realizing they were the cause of the stench in the living room.
