Chapter 242: Comeback
"Franco Quinn is involved with the human trafficking ring, which means he’s a serious threat. He made the reckless decision to sell his own daughter to them just to settle his debt," Xavier summarized, his voice steady but grim.
"But remember, we’re talking about Allison’s father here. If you kill him, she’s going to be the one hurt the most by all of this," he reminded his brother, a warning laced in his tone. Xavier knew the stakes, but he also understood the deep emotional consequences that could follow.
Kace huffed a breath before he tore his gaze away from Xavier. He nodded in understanding. He couldn’t go killing off a man just like that. He had other ways to punish the middle-aged man for his actions.
They continued to search the house, making sure there was no one left behind.
They’d gotten an intel earlier, informing them about a new location where minors were being groomed before they were selected to be traded.
Hoping they would finally find their mortal enemy, he turned out to be not in the house with them.
When they exited the house completely, they set it ablaze, burning the dead bodies along with it. They weren’t afraid to do so since the government wouldn’t dare to question them for setting one of their properties ablaze since they weren’t doing their job well by keeping their citizens safe.
If they did, Xavier and his men wouldn’t have left their city to come save them.
In the following days that passed, Kace informed Allison of what he was doing at that hideout, feeding her on the kind of work he was involved in, but making sure not to give her too much information that would probably mark her a target by his enemies.
Within that time, Kace found Mr. Quinn at a bar with two ladies by his side. One stretching his beard and playing with it at the same time, the other running her hands up his thighs.
Without caring if they were in public, Kace pulled him up from his chair and dragged him out of the bar, making him pay for what he’d done to Allison.
