Chapter 173: You’re Finally Back Sis
Tracie glared at Selene, slightly stunned to speak. All she wanted to do was get Selene to leave and never come back, and now, the latter was planning on coming back the next day. She didn’t want that to happen.
"I’m not teaching you anything," she objected.
"Then I will tell Mother about it," said Selene. "She already wants me to move in. It’s like the more you want me to leave, the more I want to stay," she added, smiling when she saw Tracie’s face pale.
"You should be ashamed of yourself, Selene. You got married to the son of my father’s enemy..." Tracie trailed off as she scoffed, a slow grin pulling on her cheeks. "You’d better get ready to see Xavier and Father fight from now on."
A deep frown settled on Selene’s face, wondering what Tracie meant with her words.
Earlier, at the dining table, Selene could feel the glare her father shared with Xavier. Now hearing from Tracie there was a chance of the both of them fighting, it made her uncomfortable.
Then, she remembered Jeffrey had requested to have a word with Xavier before her mother brought her to the painting room.
"Is that what you want?" Selene asked Tracie.
The latter shrugged. "If it can get you to never come here ever again, then yes, that’s what I want."
Although Selene was aware Tracie was older than her within a few years, she had the sudden urge to strike her across the face. However, she could only clench her fists to suppress such an urge.
Tracie had made things clear to her. She despised Selene for a reason she still didn’t understand, and she was willing to witness their father fight Xavier all just to get her to never come to the Clark mansion anymore.
