Selene and Yna, together with the other producers and directors spoke for a long time, concluding on the next movie and such which Selene told them she might not continue with the acting industry. But when she made a decision, she would let them know.
Selene searched for Xavier, afraid she’d made him wait too long.
Selene bid Martha and other people she was familiar with goodbye and signed a few autographs before she sent Xavier a text, asking for his whereabouts.
Michelle’s outrageous scene had clearly exhausted her, and the relentless smiling had left her cheeks feeling stiff and sore. The evening had taken a considerable emotional toll, leaving her yearning for the comfort of home. She longed to sink into a warm bath to soothe her tired body, followed by burying herself in her soft mattress, where she could finally escape to a restful sleep and forget the night’s chaos.
"Looking for me, my love?" She heard someone ask from behind her.
She stared at him, realizing she hadn’t had the time to look at his face properly. He looked as dazzling as always, stealing her breath whichever chance he got. But there was a hint of disturbance in his expression.
"Anything wrong?" She asked him with concern.
Xavier shook his head. "Nothing at all. Wanna go home?"
Selene regarded him for a moment, wondering what could be bothering him. He seemed fine before she left to see Yna. Not only that, she’d noticed how distant he looked while he was in his thoughts, as if he was plotting every single detail on how to murder a specific someone.
