Chapter 142: Big Sister Problem
Selene continued with her scenes, silently hoping that Xavier would return home soon. Whenever her shoot was over, she would head home immediately if she didn’t have anything else to do.
The anticipation of his arrival kept her going through the long hours on set, providing a comforting thought amid the hustle and bustle of her busy schedule.
Just when Selene was about to head out, she was called over by Yna, her manager.
"What’s wrong?" Selene asked Yna with concern laced in her tone. They were in Yna’s office in the Dreamscape building. Since her scenes ended early, she drove over to meet her.
"Nothing is the matter, Selene," Yna replied.
Yna was a red-headed woman with a round face and a small frame; she could easily be mistaken for a teenager.
"It’s good news," she added, earning a slight frown from Selene. "You’ve been nominated as the best actress of the year in Radiantia in the award show that will commence in the next one week."
"What?" Selene thought she was hearing wrong. "What did you say?" She asked.
"You’ve been nominated as the best actress," Yna repeated with a warm smile on her lips.
Selene still couldn’t believe her ears even though she heard Yna loud and clear the second time. It was just unbelievable for her to get nominated as the best actress in Radiantia.
"The Sinner was a big hit and your acting is really good," Yna praised.
