Chapter 122: A Visit To The Orphanage
"You still haven’t heard from them?" Amelia asked her husband, who was seated on the couch with his phone in hand, anxiously waiting for a text from a certain person.
He’d been staring at it for a while now, picking it up as soon as he felt a vibration coming from it.
"If they did, do you think I would be seated here anxiously with my phone?" He questioned, while his eyes were still glued on the screen of his phone.
Amelia simply shrugged before she took the seat opposite him.
It’s been two weeks already since Robert had paid Jeffery Clark a visit at his office. He’d thought they would immediately give in to his conditions, but unfortunately for him, nothing had been done.
He was contemplating paying them another visit, but he doubted he would be able to leave without some body part being broken.
Ezekiel had already broken his nose the last time; his ribs could be next.
"I don’t think they are serious with your threat, father. You should have done something that would make them jump out of their seats and sign the papers immediately," said Jack as he sipped from his coffee.
"Jack is right," Amelia immediately agreed. "The Clark family are very scary and if they find out that Anastasia whom you are using to threaten them is already gone, we are done for. You need to persuade them to sign the property papers immediately," she added, leaning on the back of the couch before she called out for a servant and demanded an orange juice.
