Chapter 113: Kael Clark
Ezekiel clenched his fist in anger.
"No matter what you do, you’ll never know what she looks like. Anastasia is safe and sound somewhere far from here. All you need to do is sign the papers, and I’ll bring her back to you. It’s that simple," Robert added, wiping the blood from his lip with the back of his hand. He hesitantly sat upright in the chair, wary of another punch from Ezekiel.
Ezekiel scoffed.
"It’s a good thing you came here," he said. "And you see this," he picked up the property papers on his father’s desk. "You can forget about acquiring half of my family’s assets because it’s never going to happen. Get out!" Ezekiel threw it in Robert’s face, angering the latter as he gritted his teeth silently, but he didn’t bother retaliating.
Having to leave the office without the need for bodyguards or even police officers dragging him out was a miracle.
He wouldn’t want to push his luck any further than he already had.
Ezekiel stared at his father, who seemed to be deep in thought.
"Father, I will have my men investigate the Harrison family. And when they find her, they will bring her to us," he informed.
Jeffery stared at Ezekiel. "But she has already formed a bond with Robert and his family, thinking she is a part of them," he responded with a sigh.
He was excited Ava (Anastasia) was alive, but couldn’t handle the fact that it would be difficult to get her back from the Harrison family.
"That’s probably what Robert Harrison told her and she believed him. I will have him investigated and if things become too difficult, I will charge him with kidnapping," said Ezekiel.
