Allison continued to stare at Derek with the girl he was with as the both of them entered through the gates of the hotel. When she heard Kace’s words, she immediately turned her head away, tearing her eyes from them. "Why is your boyfriend with that girl?" Kace probed, opening the snacks he bought earlier from the convenience store, and threw a potato chip into his mouth, crunching it with his teeth.

A frown settled on Kace’s eyebrow as she stared at her retreating.

Since the first time he’d seen Derek, he had already concluded he was a jerk, but he didn’t expect him to be that kind of a jerk. The fact that Allison had just denied spotting her boyfriend walking into a hotel with a girl who wasn’t her just spiked his curiosity even more.

Any girl in her position would have immediately crossed the street, rolled up her sleeves, and pulled the hair of the other girl. But Allison was acting quite the opposite; walking away.

"Wait for me," he said as he tried to catch up to her which didn’t take him long. He stared at her face. It was dark and sullen and he wasn’t sure if it was because she didn’t get the job, or because she caught her boyfriend cheating on her. "Have you seen him doing that before?" He suddenly asked.

From her actions, he suspected that wasn’t the first time she had seen him with the opposite gender, heading to a hotel.

"That’s none of—"

"Your business," he finished.

Allison glared at him but didn’t say anything.
