Chapter 69: Klerene Contract
Michelle gritted her teeth and clenched her fists as rage surged through her body. If she could, she would have cut Selene into pieces and fed her flesh to the dogs. The intensity of her hatred was overwhelming, and she could barely contain the fury that threatened to consume her.
All she could see was red as she struggled to control her anger. The burning question in her mind was why Selene hadn’t let Xavier blacklist her.
"You will see Selene," she managed to say. "I will make your life a living hell," she promised. Michelle glared at Selene one last time before she walked off.
Selene could only stare at her retreating back with a smirk on her lips.
"I would love to see what you have in store for me, Michelle," she replied.
Since she had already found the property papers she signed months ago, she didn’t find Michelle useful anymore. So, pretending to be her friend was just a waste of time. She didn’t have any use for Michelle anymore.
Selene went back to her seat. Her three friends gave her a worried expression when she sat down.
"What happened? Did she do anything to try to hurt you?" Liam questioned.
Selene shook her head, replying, "No, she didn’t. She apologized and both of us are good."
