Chapter 63: Too Late To Repent
Everyone’s eyes widened in shock; they couldn’t believe what Edna was spouting. The fact that she didn’t bother to hold her tongue showed she didn’t care about what anyone thought.
"How dare you evade our trap?" Edna questioned, expecting an answer from Selene but the latter only stared at her, not out of shock, but out of amusement at how Edna had used her hands to dig her own grave.
Miranda tried to restrain Edna from saying anything more, but it was too late. Everyone had already heard Edna’s words, and the truth of what she revealed hung heavily in the air.
"So you wanted to have me raped by those men?" Selene questioned, her eyes darkened at the two besties. "How shameless can you be?"
"After the insult you threw at us, did you think we would let you be? I promised you that you should be prepared for what we would do to you," Edna barked. She spoke as if she had lost her mind, and everyone present couldn’t help but whisper amongst themselves how shameless she was, while they recorded her confession secretly.
Michelle backed away, a surge of panic gripping her. Hearing Edna speak uncontrollably, she feared her own name might slip out next. The thought of everyone turning their judgmental eyes on her made her heart race, and she desperately wanted to distance herself from the unfolding chaos.
Director Jeunes was speechless, he didn’t know how to handle the matter at hand. But he was sure of one thing, the two besties were getting fired. He wouldn’t dare have them play a role in the movie else, he wanted to plan his doom.
"That’s enough," he said, his voice attracting everyone’s attention towards him. "You two owe Selene an apology for what you planned to do to her. Even if you two argued, that shouldn’t result in wanting to have your colleague raped," he added.
Edna scoffed. "I would rather eat dirt than apologize to her," she said.
