Lake meant his words because right after lunch, they were dropping Rosie off at Mafia King Asher’s place.
The secretary shot them both a betrayed look as they dropped her off in front of the gates, Lake giving her a sheepish smile. "We’ll come pick you up in time for ice cream."
"Or not," Davian mumbled under his breath.
A smaller gate to the side was opened for Rosie to come in, her boss and Mafia King driving off and leaving her behind.
Rosie just sighed and went into the mansion, she had only been here once before but she still remembered how to get to the kitchen. The door opened just as she got to it, revealing the last person she expected to bump into.
"Jael?"
The Beta gave her a once-over and stepped back, "Good thing you’re here..."
"W-What?" Rosie stumbled over her words.
"Caspian sent all of the kitchen staff on a lunch break so he could sneakily cook and Patty accidentally deleted the reports I asked for." Jael said as he pulled her into the kitchen before she could make her escape.
He didn’t mention that he was the reason why she had messed up the mansion’s reports. "I’d love to handle things here but the boss is on a bit of a short leash today so I’ve got to head out."
Rosie couldn’t believe her ears, she was sent here to relax but was instead saddled with work. "I’m not doing all that for free," She said dryly, crossing her arms.
