Chapter 120: Distance
"I’ll answer a little out of order, so bear with me, if that’s alright?" Eo said and asked.
Nick nodded. What else was he supposed to do?
Eo looked at him for a moment. She was a little worried about his reaction. For now, it seemed like he was holding off on doing the reacting, but it was clear that he was not a fan of these circumstances and revelations.
If it had been unavoidable, he didn’t mind everything that had happened until now. But he had almost died, kind of, several times. He...didn’t want to blame Eo since she had been the one to save him.
But it just felt like his perspective had changed a lot with these new revelations.
"First of all, regarding how we’re fine here when we weren’t on Earth...Simply put, it’s because the Rules aren’t as strict or as strictly enforced. It’s pretty obvious why or how, right?"
Nick was silent for a moment before answering.
"The power crystals?"
"Yes. My presence, which couldn’t be explained by the rules on Earth, can now be tolerated by the rules here, which allow the existence of power crystals. I’m not sure if the power crystals are part of the rules here or if the rules are just lax, but it doesn’t really matter. The result is the same."
"Next, I guess, is the answer as to why we’re here instead of outside the dimensions." Eo arranged the two plates on the table. Metaphor again. She pointed at the space between the two plates.
"In reality, this gap doesn’t exist."
