Chapter 112: Budding Fight
Malak didn’t answer. He didn’t like the way Nick was talking to him like he knew everything when he didn’t know anything. But he reluctantly had to admit that Nick made at least one good point.
He should not leave Sosora’s side.
In the first place, it wasn’t realistic for him to do that, either. He wasn’t some great warrior or explorer who could search all of the world’s corners for something to restore Sosora’s vision. Firstly, he was a member of the tribes.
The Bawin tribe wasn’t that different from humans. But no one would look at someone from the Bawin tribe and think they were human, especially in the three kingdoms around Tiabe. He wouldn’t be able to set foot in them without people recognizing him as being from the tribes.
With the volatile past between the three kingdoms and the tribes of Tiabe, Malak would be lucky if he even found a stone to overturn before being hunted down and killed or captured.
He would have to go past the three kingdoms if he wanted to look personally. But that was incredibly difficult and dangerous.
No, his only real option would be to delegate the search to people he could trust while he stayed by Sosora’s side. He might not even have to go beyond Tiabe to find what he was looking for.
The forest was vast and hid many secrets.
Nick’s and Malak’s conversation lasted a little while, and by the time they finished, Sosora was ready to return home. An invisible weight had been lifted from her shoulders by the food and company. In its place, only fatigue and exhaustion remained. She needed sleep and a proper night’s rest.
