My Eldritch Horror Wife Followed Me To Another World

Chapter 104: Escape From Mischel

Sky Splitter was a move Squawks had practiced countless times. The number of times he had used it in a real situation, however, could be counted on one hand. Due to the time it took for him to prepare it and the state it left him in afterward, it wasn’t something he could use in the middle of a fight.

It was great for cutting down trees, though.

When he practiced, he did it to get the technique down pat and make sure he could do it whenever he wanted. He rarely squeezed out every last ounce of strength he had when performing it.

But he had never successfully cut through anything harder than wood, much less an iron cage.

The resistance was greater than he had expected when he first struck the cage. If not for his reliable muscles, he would have failed and caught the rebound of the power he put into the move.

Even now, the muscles he took great pride in were barely enough to drive the edge of his blade into the iron lid of the cage.

There was only one thing that kept him going without fail.

It was the thought of the money he would be swimming in when they returned home successfully.

With one last surge of effort and strength, Squawks pushed down so hard that a couple of vessels burst in his hands.
