My Eldritch Horror Wife Followed Me To Another World

Chapter 80: Finding The Spot

"There!" Malak shouted suddenly, slamming his finger against the map and startling Sosora awake. After cross-referencing the maps and the guard schedule for over half an hour, Malak finally found the most likely route Tair’s kidnappers would have taken in order to disappear.

Sosora fought away the drowsiness and looked at the spot Malak pointed at. She furrowed her brow.

"That’s Orovir territory, isn’t it?" As far as she knew, the Orovir and Lowat tribes weren’t on the best of terms. Would the Orovirs really help Tair’s kidnappers get away?

"Yes. And right there, there’s a tunnel that would have taken Tair’s kidnappers underground and out of sight. If I’m right, they would have entered there and disappeared. They could have gone anywhere in the forest without anyone noticing."

Malak’s words made Sosora frown. That meant their search area had expanded from a decently big circle around the location Tair was taken out of the sky to the entire forest. The forest was approximately twenty times the size of their initial search area. If they added in the possibility of Tair’s kidnappers moving him around...

They were never finding Tair.

Malak could tell what Sosora was thinking. He was thinking the same, after all.

But it wasn’t over yet.

"If we know where they went, we can just follow their traces. They can run, but they can’t hide."

"Are you sure? They managed to slip away from the crash site without leaving any traces."

"Exactly. They were extremely careful because they knew we would scour that area like Vasr birds looking for Trajo berries. But they have no reason to even suspect that we would think they would go all the way there." Malak tapped the map again.
