Chapter 75: Wormy Brat
It was a restless night for both Malak and Sosora. Neither regretted it for a moment. So what if they didn’t get a wink until the sun rose again? They felt more energized than ever. Besides, it was an unusually short night, wasn’t it?
They just lay there next to each other, blinked once, and then it was over, wasn’t it? How were they supposed to have gotten any rest in that short time?
When the sun rose and light started creeping into Malak’s room, the two realized that they had to get up despite lying down a moment ago. They didn’t want to. However, they couldn’t forget Tair just because they were caught up in their own emotions.
The couple sat up and only realized that they were holding hands when they tried to stand up. They pulled apart like they had touched fire. And like any child new to the feeling of touching something hot, they must touch it again to make sure that it was actually hot.
Malak’s and Sosora’s hands sought each other out again like they had a will of their own.
Sosora looked at Malak. Malak looked Sosora in the eyes.
"We...should get going then," Sosora said eventually.
"Yeah, I suppose we should," Malak nodded. Neither of them moved for several long seconds.
Sosora took a deep breath. Just being with Malak was nice.
