(BL) Hunting The Field Guide

Chapter 341: A rude awakening

Kellen stood outside in the hallway, his arms crossed as he stared at the wall across from him. It was a part of the higher levels of the Guild tower he hadn’t been in yet. Not quite at the same floor as his and Rhys’ apartments, but still rather high up in the building.

It was between Kellen and Brent’s apartments, closer to where his parents had settled.

Inside of the room he was standing outside of, it sounded like a hurricane was going off.

Screaming, shouting, grunting. The sound of things being thrown against walls, glass shattering. Kellen flinched as he imagined the stone countertops being shattered, and was sure he wasn’t far off.

He was surprised that if anyone else was staying on this floor that they weren’t coming to check up on them.

Maybe no one else was staying on this floor, and that was the exact reason Hill and Rhys had chosen it.

Wincing as he heard Hill curse, Kellen sighed, his gaze sliding to the door beside him. The Espers had told him to wait outside, that it would be too dangerous for him but at this point, he was getting bored.

Having to fist fight Gunther might actually be fun at this point.

There was a brief moment of silence and Kellen pulled out his phone to check the time. It was near lunchtime, and he didn’t really have this kind of time. Between him, Casper, his own classes, and everything else going on in the world, Kellen didn’t have time for Gunther’s temper tantrum.

Was it wrong to consider it that way? Maybe. Did Kellen really give a shit at this moment? No.

Kellen knocked politely on the door as he shoved his phone back into his pocket before he opened the door. He dodge immediately, something flying at his head. It wasn’t until it made a hollow metal clang against the far wall that Kellen glanced back and noticed it was a garbage can. He smirked.
