Chapter 193: First day as a regular Guide in the Saturn Guild
Kellen wasn’t sure if he should be thankful that the Captain wasn’t in his apartment when he entered it. And nothing seemed to be disturbed, so quickly before he got into his shower, Kellen took the posters he’d placed in his closet of the Captain down and tucked them into the proper box before getting ready for work.
Today he was going to wear his proper Saturn Guild Guide outfit, and after he made sure it was in perfect condition, he jumped into the shower. Taking a quick clean, Kellen then made sure he ate a filling, full of nutrients meal before chugging 4 of the shakes he had stocked in his fridge before heading out the door.
The first guiding session he had booked was with one of the A Class Espers that he’d met several times in the gym. He’d only booked the lowest level of guiding, and he hoped that everyone would be understanding of that.
Even he wasn’t foolish enough to push the Captain by guiding at any level higher. Kellen had some self awareness.
He would hate if the Captain was guided by anyone at any level, but especially if it was done at a higher level now. Just thinking about it had Kellen clenching his fist tightly.
That reminded him of that damn Guide from Guiding Center A who had been offered to guide Rhys at the bomb site. Those fucking pricks. They knew that Kellen was going to be there, but they wanted to embarrass him.
Thankfully, that wasn’t something that would do so. But it did make Kellen pissed. It was one of the reasons he didn’t want to rely on Guiding Center A for their supplement of Guides, but at the same time he didn’t want to leave his old Guiding Center short staffed. If he could pull Guides from at least three, he’d feel better.
Kellen’s head was full of thoughts about his next step after his guiding sessions with Espers, so much so that he arrived at the Guiding Division without preparing himself to guide. Kellen had no idea where he was supposed to go, since he normally did all of his guiding in the Medical Bay so Taylor could observe them.
He wasn’t used to being a regular Guide anymore.
